Alex Joon Kim

Hello! I am a third year student at the University of Virginia with technological skills, leadership experience, and a strong passion to use software to improve the lives around me. Computer science has played an important role in my life ever since I shared my first Java program with my father (a computer scientist). Since then, it's always been fun to give back to the community that I've been so familiar with. From my professional experience, I am more than grateful to have found others who share an enthusiasm for programming and my personal interests as well.

Personally, I am an avid weightlifter, sports fanatic, and fashion enthusiast. In my free time, I can usually be found spending time with friends/family, working on my professional life, and utilizing social media to display my hobbies and other passions. I am a huge athlete, and love to play basketball, football, etc. In High School, I participated in Track and Field as as part of the throwing team, with Discus as my main event. Overall, I believe a good balance between professional growth and interpersonal relationships is essential to a happy and successful life!
